Kitty Pryde (Earth-616)| Introduction: Event 1: "Roll Call" Earth, 2012: Spring In the aftermath of Jean Grey's death, under the struggling foundation of the X-Men in mourning and the uncertainty of the untimely disappearance of Professor Charles Xavier, the grounds of Xavier's Institute are being rebuilt. The X-Men team is dis-functional and scattered, but the efforts and demands of the unlikely Emma Frost, the hope and willful nature of Katherine 'Kitty' Pryde and the need to nurture the youth of tomorrow found in James 'Wolverine' Howlett has brought the beginnings of a new school and new headmasters. Obtaining the aid of Professor Hank 'Beast' McCoy and rebuilding over the Institute to begin a new campus that both caters to the gifted youngsters that Xavier was attached to, as well as a new division for Post Secondary education, the School has breathed new life and hope into it and for the future of Mutant king. The moto remains the same "mutatis mutandis", or "by changing those things which need to be changed". The Staff and students both move into tomorrow trying to maintain this ideal, changing the minds of the world about mutants for the better. Though regular High School students wont yet be admitted until the Fall, Spring semester for the post secondary program begins soon and with it the influx of students returning or new. The X-Men are excited and apprehensive both as they try their hand at continuing Xaviers dream while uncertain of his safety. Like all things, perseverance is key, and so despite grievances, the X-Men press on with a new school syllabus, new Head Masters, instructors and personal vision. One such vision includes their past team leader Scott 'Cyclops' Summers return to the team and as a Head Master for the school, but thus far he's remained distanced and in mourning. Spring comes, bringing with it new challenges, new hope and new growth. To each new or returned face to the School for post secondary students, their impact on the X-Men, The School, Salem and the world is just beginning. In time their impact will be remarkable in the history of Earth and beyond.
